A count of participants who were in service in the Workforce Australia Online program at the data extraction date, disaggregated by participant employment region, cohort and allowance group.

Workforce Australia Online is the online employment service for job-ready individuals who can manage their employment pathways. It is an online platform which includes information, tools, job boards and other resources to help individuals get a job.

A total count of participants who were in service in Workforce Australia Online on 31 May 2023, as calculated by counting participant identifiers with:

  • a related contract referral placement that has a contract type of 'DIG6' (Workforce Australia Online), and
  • a placement status code value of 'PND' (Pending), 'COM' (Commenced) or 'SUS' (Paused).

A total count of participants who were in service in Workforce Australia Online on 31 May 2023, as calculated by counting participant identifiers with:

  • a related contract referral placement that has a contract type of 'DIG6' (Workforce Australia Online), and
  • a placement status code value of 'PND' (Pending), 'COM' (Commenced) or 'SUS' (Paused).

A contract referral placement is the instance of a participant establishing a service relationship with a provider's site within an employment region for a specific employment service program. They are used in combination with participant identifiers for this count as a participant may have a pending placement in one program while currently commenced in another and therefore can be counted as 'in service' in more than one program at a time.
