Definition

The duration that a participant (client) has been in contiguous service in an employment services program, starting from the date of their first referral and usually to the date their last referral ended.

Comments

This item differs from 'period of assistance' in that if a participant (client) exits and later returns to the program this is recorded as a new period of participation even if the individual returns to the program within 91 days. That is, there is no allowable break period for period of participation. There is an allowable break period for period of assistance.
