Comments

Individuals may become registered with the Self-Employment Assistance (SEA) program via one of multiple pathways. Direct registration is one such pathway, with others including lodging an application with employment services for the SEA program or being referred to SEA by a provider of a different employment service.

If a participant (client) has directly registered with SEA, their characteristics/cohort data may not have been collected as they have not completed the jobseeker snapshot (JSS) or jobseeker classification instrument (JSCI) questionnaires.

In instances where a directly registered participant has had previous contact with Australian Government employment services, their cohort information will be sourced from any previous jobseeker snapshot they have undertaken. However, for participants with no prior engagement with Australian Government employment services, these cohorts are likely to be undercounted.
