A count of the number of times each service that is available through the Self-Employment Assistance program has been accessed or used, disaggregated by financial year and the Australian state/territory.

Computation

A count of referrals made to Self-Employment Assistance (SEA) program services. Calculated by counting the number of activity referrals for each SEA service and allocated to a state/territory per the address of the relevant provider site. Counted against a given financial year based on the date of the referral to the service. A single participant (client) may be referred to multiple activities such that the sum of activity referral counts is greater than the number of participants. Relevant services include …

This calculation is disaggregated by financial year, Australian state/territory, and type of service accessed/used. While state/territory in SEA data is generally derived from the participant's residential address, at the service use level it is based on the employment services provider address due to how the information is stored/structured. Relevant Data Elements include:

Contract referral placement: Start date, Date 

Employment services site: Australian state/territory, Code

Period of participation: End date, Financial year

Computation Rule
Computation

A count of referrals made to Self-Employment Assistance (SEA) program services. Calculated by counting the number of activity referrals for each SEA service and allocated to a state/territory per the address of the relevant provider site. Counted against a given financial year based on the date of the referral to the service. A single participant (client) may be referred to multiple activities such that the sum of activity referral counts is greater than the number of participants. Relevant services include Small Business Training, Business Advice Sessions, Business Health Checks, Exploring Self-Employment Workshops, and Small Business Coaching. Counts for Approved Business Plans are calculated separately per 'Number of approved business plans by financial year and state'.
